Click the Download Extension button above to get the ZIP file.
Then unzip the file to a folder on your computer.
💡 Right-click the ZIP → "Extract All" (Windows) or double-click (Mac)
Open your browser and type in the address bar:
chrome://extensions
Then toggle Developer mode ON (top right corner).
💡 On Brave use brave://extensions, on Edge use edge://extensions
Click "Load unpacked" button (top left).
Select the unzipped folder (the one containing manifest.json).
✅ KrayWallet icon appears in your browser toolbar!
The extension is distributed as a ZIP — there is no auto-update. Updating takes 1 minute.
Download the new ZIP and extract it into the same folder you used when installing — replacing the old files.
Then open chrome://extensions and click the Reload button (↻) on the KrayWallet card.
✅ Your wallet, balances and settings are 100% preserved. Nothing to restore.
If you remove the extension and load it from a different folder, the browser assigns a new extension ID and wipes the local storage — your wallet data will be gone from the browser.
Your funds are always safe on Bitcoin, but you would need to restore the wallet with your mnemonic (12/24 words).
💡 This is exactly why your written mnemonic backup is sacred. If you ever update the "wrong way", your words bring everything back.
